What We Do
Edison Solar & Wind is a complete solar & wind electric energy supplier. We can handle all phases of most any solar or wind project.
Our focus is on grid-tie-in systems which provide the consumer with the benefits of having their own power generation and the security of supply from their local public electric company.* Grid-tie-in is also a current requirement for receiving Ohio State grant money.

What we do starts chronologically with a site analysis to see what is possible where you are located. If our feasibility study shows that a solar or wind system will work at your site, we will help you determine what type and size of system will be needed to supply your power demand. We will also inform you of the permits and/or variances, if any, you must obtain in order to proceed. Edison Solar & Wind personnel will then prepare a financial projection to determine cost and pay back period.

If you decide to proceed further, our staff will assist you in preparing federal and Ohio grant applications. These forms require technical engineering data that we will supply. We are also prepared to explain the federal tax renewable energy benefits contained in the various "bailout" bills. Roughly, 80% of some commercial renewable energy projects can be paid for by government grants and tax credits.
Edison Solar & Wind has experience in getting these government grants and is the only company in Ohio to date to obtain a U.S.D.A. solar grant. But like most good things, government assistance funding is temporary. For example, the first year 50% depreciation provision on renewable energy projects will expire at the end of 2009.

If the buyer is satisfied with the funding and wishes to complete the project, then Edison Solar & Wind personnel will install the system.
Upon completing installation and the beginning of energy production, the business standard one year Edison Solar & Wind warranty period will begin, to be followed by manufactures warranties. Edison Solar & Wind uses the highest quality components from companies well established in the U.S. so that in the rare event that a warranty issue arises, you do not have to learn Chinese to exercise your warranty. That companies are well established and accessible in the U.S. is important when warrantee periods for renewable energy components extend into decades.
